Nixon Peabody Attorney Appointed to Serve on the Washington, D.C. Bar Lawyer Assistance Committee

Washington, DC. International law firm Nixon Peabody LLP is pleased to announce that Tatiana Gutierrez Abendschein, an attorney in the firm’s Washington, DC, office, has been appointed by the Board of Governors of the Washington, DC, Bar to serve a two-year term on the Bar’s Lawyer Assistance Committee.

The Lawyer Assistance Committee is made up of 15 lawyers and two non-lawyers who oversee the Lawyer Assistance Program. The program provides counseling and educational services to lawyers, law students, and judges who are experiencing addiction, stress, or mental health problems that interfere with their professional or personal lives. It is one of the oldest lawyer assistance programs in the country.

Tatiana Gutierrez Abendschein is an associate in the Nixon Peabody’s Real Estate & Community Development department. She focuses her practice in affordable housing law, representing developers, investors, syndicators, management companies, and housing authorities on affordable housing transactions and dispositions.
